Destination: Prescott, Arizona

A beautiful mountain drive, and about 90 minutes north of Wickenburg, AZ is the old west town of Prescott, AZ. (Pronounced Preskitt by locals) Known for being an adventurer's destination and a cowboy's playground, there's something for everyone here! Prescott is home to four of Arizona's best museums and is jam packed with art galleries, good food, and antique shops. There are also four small lakes local to the Prescott area, making it a perfect respite from the heat of southern Arizona.


Entering Prescott via Highway 89 will bring you directly downtown into the Courthouse Plaza where you will find some of the cutest shops, lip-smackingly delicious ice cream, amazing BBQ, and local brews. You can also hit up the bars along Whiskey Row for some pool or karaoke! The square is very dog friendly, so you can expect to enjoy watching kids and doggos alike frolicking in the lawn while you enjoy your Butter Pecan ice cream from one of the local treat shops. Then you can grab a cowboy hat and some boots before heading to the rodeo!

Prescott is also the home of the world's oldest rodeo. Be sure to stay in town for a couple days to enjoy the talent of the incredible cowboys, and afterword's grab a bite to eat at one of the many amazing eateries in town. Our downtown favorites are the Prescott Brewery, where you have to get the nachos and a local brew, or the Colt Grill, where you can enjoy 5-star smoked meat at a casual price!


The mountain town of Prescott is not lacking in things to do, and there is truly


something for everyone! From historical buildings with a million stories to learn, to fishing on the lake, enjoying a beer at the rodeo, or hiking! There are also plenty of local tours that will show you all the best sights, or you can saddle up and take a trail ride through the Prescott National Forest on horseback.
